A master of percussion, Abdul Aziz Kazi, spent much of his childhood watching his mother play the keyboard as a hobby turning him into a listener first and a musician later. Despite getting exposed to a range of instruments, Kazi was enamored by the drums and starting practicing on them from an early age of 10 years. A film graduate by degree, Kazi has played live with bands such as Spoonful, Sketchers and more mainstream acts like Aamir Zaki and Fuzon. Having represented Pakistan at the Worldtronics (2008) in Germany, one of his greater claim-to-fame is being the producer for the tongue-in-cheek classic track, “Waderai Ka Beta” by Ali Gul Pir.

Comfortably spanning genres and styles with ease, Abdul Aziz Kazi is set to make his debut appearance as a percussionist in the houseband on Coke Studio, Season 9.
